Hot Weather in a Warming Climate

I’m going to explore how to put extreme heat into context when considering what lies ahead should greenhouse gases continue to build in the atmosphere at anywhere near the current pace. I’ll also quote some social scientists who specialize in environmental risk and response who see little hope that heat waves will be the element that prompts citizens to support a strong climate bill or change behaviors in ways that cut combustion of fossil fuels. They say the situation is worse than the  old fable of the frog sitting oblivious in a heating pot.
